I want to share with you the wonderful program I created called
the Mama Cindy Soldier Program. I began a program of sending packages
to our military men and women stationed overseas on February 14, 2005.
What a perfect date! The first packages went out on February 18, 2005.

Wendy Parsels, from Hemlock, got orders to ship to Iraq. Wendy was a Material Readiness Officer
with the Army National Guard. It was in her e-mails that got me thinking. The Lack of luxuries we
take for granted each and every day would be but a small gift to send to our military men and women.
A bit of home for those so far away. Wendy had wished she would of brought her slippers or heavier socks
for the nights were cold and damp. The first package sent to her unit was heavy socks and slipper socks
enough for her office unit. This very first package sent, was sponsored by the Ladies Auxiliary Livonia
Post 283 of which I am a member. A WISH WAS GRANTED!

It became a Hemlock Version of MAKE A WISH PROGRAM! With the help of donations and fund raisers with in
our community, I was able to raise monetary donations as well as donations of items on the military wish list.

Finding out there were so many HOME TOWN HEROES serving our country overseas, my list of military men and women grew.
I contacted the USO and they also have sent me addresses of military men and women stationed overseas that I have sent packages to.

Each unit has different needs and desires, depending on where they are located. My desire was to reach those military men
and women that were in remote areas that didn’t have access to a PX or Commissary. I sent 12 boxes to a remote unit, in Iraq,
that didn’t have running water, electricity or phones, the only food they had were government issued. When they received the
packages, they thought it was Christmas! In those boxes were: granola bars, healthy snacks, peanuts, Starbucks Coffee, magazines,
newspapers, foot care products and personal care items.

The USO gave me a unit, in Afghanistan, that was going up into the mountains to work with the people for two weeks
at a time. The military would air drop their food and water to them. When the pilot saw there were packages from Mama
Cindy, they also took those and air dropped them to the Troops stationed in the mountains. The soldiers were very excited
to receive those packages from Mama Cindy because they knew they would be filled with goodies and personal care items much
needed by many.

I have also helped the military with their Humanitarian Projects. In 2006, I worked with the Air Force Public Works Detachment
Unit on their “Operation Outreach Program”. In 2007, I worked with the Air Force REDHORSE Squadron on their “Operation Flying Start
Program”. Both Humanitarian Projects were to help the children in Iraq with school supplies. With the donations from our community,
I sent school supplies and items for the Iraqi Children located near their bases to help in their efforts to help a child receive a
education with the tools they would need. I also collected and sent beenie babies and small stuffed animals to a Army Surgical Unit
stationed in Afghanistan that was linked with the local hospital to hand out to the children in their hospital wards. I was able to help
the Marines located in Iraq with their Humanitarian Program. A Marine Reinforce Supply Company, in Iraq, asked Mama Cindy to help them
with a small group of Iraqi People. There were 21 families and a total of 194 people, more than half are children under the age of 15.
This is an isolated group of people that the military was supplying food and water to. The Marines and the Army Units stationed in that
area asked for donations they could give to the Iraqi Children. Since I got to give it a title, I called it: “Hand to Hand~~Heart to Heart”.
This Humanitarian Program collected donations of coloring books, crayons, small stuffed animals, beenie babies, all children sizes of sandals
and flip flops, all sizes of tee shirts and shorts, hard candy, suckers and happy meal toys for the children. I just completed working with a
Polish Battle Support Unit stationed in Afghanistan, helping the USA, that was given to me by the USO. This was the fifth Humanitarian Program
I have helped the military with. They had hands on with the children in Afghanistan. They allowed me to give the title once more, so this also
became: “Hand to Hand~~Heart to Heart”. With donations in the community, I have been able to send: beenie babies, small stuffed animals and toys,
hard candy, craft projects, sandals and flip flops and personal care items for the children. Currently, I am working on my 6th Humanitarian program
with a Military Unit stationed in Iraq and my 7th Humanitarian program with a Military Unit stationed in Afghanistan in handing out toys and supplies
to the children in their area.

I began working with the Troops stationed overseas with their Humanitarian Programs when I received a letter from a soldier stating:
Thank You for the packages filled with goodies. Consider what you are doing has a Secondary Blessing. You Bless us with goodies from home,
we in turn, hand items out to the children here. The parents see we are here to help and maybe, even for a moment in time, we are a bit more
safer here. I have many stories from my soldiers of how children have indeed saved their lives. One story is a 11 year old Iraqi Boy flagged
down a military convoy. When they stopped to see what the problem was, in one hand was a beenie babie and with the other he pointed to a large
bag of what appeared to be garbage. It turned out to be filled with explosives. A small act of kindness, saved many military lives that day.
When ever I find out a unit has hands on with the children in their area, I send special packages for them to hand out to the children.
Children are the innocent victims of war and poverty. Children are our Future and the Future of our World!

In May of 2005, I did a live radio broadcast with the Veteransfor Veterans Stardust Radio, WYSL 1040 am radio station and Wendy
Parsels stationed in Iraq. It was dedicated to Women in the Military. In May of 2006, I did another radio broadcast with CMSGT David
Harding’s Air Force Unit stationed in Iraq about the Humanitarian Program “Operation Outreach”. It was very important for me to share
with the community the workings in the military from our very own Home Town Heroes.

In 2005, I created a Wall Of Honor. This wall has pictures and stories of the military men and women that I have contact with since
I began the Soldier Program. The Wall Of Honor can be seen at Mama Cindy’s home in Hemlock. I created the Wall Of Honor to Honor our
military Men and Women that are currently serving the military both state side and overseas. This Wall is to Honor the Present!

In 2006, I created a Children’s Wall of Honor. This Wall of Honor has pictures and information about individual children and children
organizations that have helped in their community and around the world. This Wall is to Honor Our Future!

In 2007, I created a Veterans Wall Of Honor. This Wall Of Honor is to Honor all past Veterans. This wall has pictures and information
about past service from all branches of the military. This Wall is to Honor Our Past!

At the Hemlock Fair on July 18, 2007, Mama Cindy organized “Military Appreciation Night” for all Military Personnel State Side
and those home on R&R from their Tours Overseas. It was wonderful to have the 98th Army Reserve Band perform for all those in attendance.
Your Heart couldn’t help but skip to the beat of the music! We also had local talents perform that evening, Two Of Hearts, Little Lakes
Christian Band and John Burley. Every Soldier in full uniform past and present had a free entrance to the fair that day, their uniform
was their ticket. Mama Cindy displayed the Walls Of Honor in the Commercial Building for the public to enjoy seeing the faces and the
stories from the past, present and future.

I have been asked how long will I continue to be Mama Cindy. My answer: For every Soldier that returns, One is still there and
Another is just beginning their tour. I will continue to be Mama Cindy until they ALL come home or until the Lord Calls Me Home!

In each package and letter I send, I write: May the Lord keep you safe in his arms until he brings you safely home to your loved
ones once again. Big Hugs and Warm Thoughts and I will be looking for that Hug in Person! Many Soldiers that have returned home, have done
just that, traveled to give me that hug in person. One Soldier wrote me: I am getting through each day in Iraq one quote at a time.
Today’s quote is: “ You see the person I am today, but do you know what I had to go through to become the person I am today?”

As of December 1, 2009 2,471 packages,(20,690 pounds) and over 4,000 cards, and letters have been sent to Units stationed in Iraq, Afghanistan,
Korea, Africa and Japan through the Mama Cindy Soldier Program. With donations from the community, I have been able to raise a total of
$36,166.63 for supplies and shipping packages to our Troops. The total expenses for purchasing supplies and shipping packages to our
Troops, to date, is $35,118.46. My list of soldiers has grown to over 3,000 and I currently ship packages to over 2,000 Soldiers.

With the help of Assemblyman Joseph Errigo and the Harrison-Lee American Legion Post 283, I received a $1,000.00 Grant for shipping
packages to our Troops from the New York State Division Of Veterans’ Affairs in March of 2007. This funding sure did help in keeping the
packages going to our Troops. The complete Grant has be used in full. Starbucks in Geneseo, Henrietta and Greece New York, have donated
4,018 pounds of coffee that has been shipped to our Troops stationed overseas. A total of 7,017 beenie babies and stuffed animals and
Happy Meal Toys have been shipped to the children in Iraq and Afghanistan.

For the month of November and December of 2007, a program called: “CHRISTMAS FOR OUR SOLDIERS” brought people together to help send
a package to a soldier stationed overseas. A Christmas Package to open for the Holidays. I want to Thank the Wonderful Home Town Support
For Our Troops. Area Business and Organizations had many fund raising events to help support the program to send Christmas to our Troops
Overseas through the Mama Cindy Soldier Program.

By December 6, 2007, 146 Christmas packages have been sent to soldiers in Iraq, Afghanistan and Korea. In each Christmas package
was a pair of hand knitted slippers, a music CD, a Bible CD,postcards, letters and Christmas Cards for the Soldiers to enjoy as
well as sent home to their loved ones, in one slipper was filled with a toothbrush, toothpaste and a zip lock bag filled with travel
size personal care items in the other slipper was filled with a zip lock bag of hard candy and a zip lock bag filled with Christmas
Chocolates. Each package was wrapped in Christmas paper so that a soldier would have a Christmas package from home to unwrap. Three
Christmas Packages were in each box and sent to a Soldier. In his Christmas Card from Mama Cindy, I wrote, “Please be my Santa and
deliver the other two Christmas packages to the two soldiers in your unit.” Each Christmas package had the full name of the soldier to
receive. This way the soldier getting the package got to receive a gift for Christmas and was able to give two Christmas packages to his
fellow soldiers. Part of my program: Hand To Hand~~Heart To Heart.

Tony and Addie Maletta, from Livonia, have made 500 pairs of slippers to date that have been shipped to our Troops overseas for
Christmas in 2005, 2006,2007 and 2008. The 680th Engineer Company stations in Iraq from Canandaigua, 135 soldiers, each received a
Christmas package this year. Every soldier in that unit received a pair of slippers created by Tony and Addie. This unit also received
Starbucks coffee and home baked brownies made by Mama Cindy to give them a Coffee Break for the Holidays.

Laura and Carole Smith of the “Two Of Hearts” donated 200 of their CD’s, Building Bridges, to the Mama Cindy Soldier Program to
ship to the Troops overseas and rededicated the song “Dance With Me Charlie” to the very first unit I began sending packages to. The
wonderful thing about that was, they rededicated the song before they even knew that the Major I was sending packages to, her husband’s
name was Charlie! In 2007, they donated 200 of their CD’s, “Reflections Of The Heart” to be sent to Troops overseas. Those CD’s
were apart of the Christmas Packages sent to the Soldiers. They also included this note with each CD:

"We want to Thank You, from the bottom of our hearts for your love of country, bravery, honor, strength, perseverance, sacrifice,
faith, hope and valor. Most of all Thank You, for preserving our freedom. We are a mother/daughter singing duo and we want to give you
the gift of our music. That is the best that we can give from our hearts. The album that we are sending you is called “Reflections Of
The Heart”. The songs are all original compositions that we have written and performed on the album. They tell true stories about the
people that have been a part of our lives. The songs are meant to be uplifting. They carry our hearts to yours. They represent the freedom
that we have been given to worship freely in our country. We not only Thank God for that Freedom, we Thank You as well. We do not take you
or our freedoms for granted. May God Bless you and keep you safe, and in the palm of His hand. You are a beautiful reflection of American’s
Heart. May her heart continue to beat Strong."

Koinonia House donated 200 Bible CD’s and one free year online fellowship Bible Study for each Soldier receiving the CD. Many of the
soldiers do have access to a computer and this makes it easier for them to continue their worship in their time frame. I am currently
working with Khouse on sending Pocket Bibles for the Soldiers to carry with them. This way, when they are in remote areas and on
convoys, the Word will always be with in their reach. Already, 628 Pocket Bibles have been shipped to Troops stationed in Iraq,
Afghanistan and Korea. It is my mission to put a Pocket Bible in the hands of every Soldier connected to the Mama Cindy Soldier Program.

Cory Smith, a up and coming recording artist, donated 200 CD’s, “Hard-Headed Fool”, that were included in the Soldier’s Christmas
Packages. With each CD, he enclosed an informational about himself along with this note: “Stand Our Ground” from “Hard-Headed Fool”
was written in the fall of 2006 for the Troops Overseas who couldn’t make it home for the holidays. It is performed live as a reminder
to those in attendance of the sacrifices that are being made by the Troops to protect the Freedoms we take for granted and written from the
standpoint of a Soldier who has indeed given everything for his or her country. Thank You for everything you do!!

Then, Mama Cindy sent Christmas Packages to the complete 70th Engineer Battalion stationed in Afghanistan. There are 435 Soldiers
in that unit. I was able to send them: oatmeal, hot cocoa mix, cup of soup, granola bars, packaged peanuts, trail mix, romen noodles, hard
candy, Christmas Chocolates in a goodie bag. In each bag was a Christmas Card Addressed to a Soldier by name with a hand written
message in each card. I wanted to make sure that each Soldier in that unit received a goodie package and a Christmas Card so that they
would hear their name called during mail call and no Soldier in that unit would be left out during the Christmas Holidays.

On December 19, 2007, Lakeville McDonald’s had the last night to drop off donations for our Troops for the program, “Christmas For
Our Soldiers”. It was an exciting night with State Side Military serving the public for two hours. The employees and soldiers had so
much fun taking orders, flipping burgers and shaking the fries working side by side to raise funding for shipping packages to the
Troops and to Thank the public for their continued support of their fellow soldiers stationed overseas, especially during the Holiday
Season. In the month long program at Lakeville McDonald’s, they were able to raise $1,057.55 in monetary donations, 15 cases of Girl Scout
Cookies from Troop # 1101, and a truck load of supplies for the Mama Cindy Soldier Program to ship to our Troops for the Holidays.

In the month of January 2008, the HOPE Youth Mentoring Program had a fund drive for our Troops stationed Overseas. They were able to
collect enough donations to fill 50 boxes and raised $290.00 in monetary donations to help cover the cost of shipping. It was my
Honor to be able to work with the children and their mentors in pre packaging the supplies gathered to get them ready to fill the boxes
that were shipped to Troops stationed in Iraq, Afghanistan and Korea. There was also two boxes that were filled with home baked chocolate
chip cookies, brownies, chocolate candy and Starbucks Coffee. One box was shipped to a unit in Iraq and the other to a unit in Korea.

A box was set up at Lakeville McDonald’s for the community to send a Valentine to a Soldier stationed Overseas. A total of 282
Valentines were collected and sent to Troops overseas in their reading and writing packages in February 2008. Included in those
packages were Starbucks coffee, reading books, magazines, newspapers, puzzle books, notebooks, envelopes, pens, pencils, assortment of
greeting cards to send home to their loved ones, Valentine’s Cards from the Community and a variety of munches.

Easter Goodie Bags were sent in March 2008 for our Troops stationed overseas. 206 plastic Easter eggs were filled with jelly
beans and included in their goodie bags filled with Easter Hard Candy and Chocolates. Of course each bag had the traditional green Easter
grass. A Girl Scout Troop wrote letters and made “Special Cards” that were included in each bag for a Soldier.

I received an e-mail on March 26, 2008 from Chaplain CPT Christopher Rusack. I adopted his unit, the 1-327th Infantry, 1st
Brigade of the 101st Airborne Division out of Ft. Campbell, KY currently deployed to Iraq. I always ask my new units to Make A Wish
of something you would like or desire and I will try to Grant That Wish if possible. His unit had received a donation of some guitars
for the troops that he had taken out to their remote patrol bases where they stay for up to 10 days at a time in less than comfortable
conditions. The instruments are a big morale booster. Anyways, they have been breaking the strings and were in need of replacements. That
very day, I traveled to BUZZO’s in Geneseo and asked him if he would like to donate some guitar strings and picks for the Troops overseas.
Buzzo and I had a most wonderful conversation about the Mama Cindy Program and the times we do live in. Before I left, he handed me a
bag filled with the guitar strings and picks for the Troops. I went home and e-mailed Christopher and was so excited to tell him, Wish
Granted! The musical package is on route to his unit. How Honored I was to be able to take a Soldier’s Wish and find a way to have that
Wish Granted That Very Day! Thank You Buzzo for making that possible!

On April 3, 2008, I was invited to the Maplewood Nursing Home to help them pre package the donations the residents and their
families collected to ship to the Troops Overseas. It was a wonderful afternoon sharing stories and showing them how much work does go into
packaging for the Soldiers to keep items fresh and protected from the sand. That is why I repackage all items into zip lock bags. On Marine
(once a Marine, always a Marine) wanted to help, but he had the use of only one hand. I told him, no problem, I got the perfect job for
you. He organized the travel size personal care items to be packaged. Another military man was excited to package the snacks. He said they
never received the goodies we were sending in their packages today. He wanted to make sure the Troops got all his favorites. They were
able to fill 28 care packages with a variety of personal care items, music CD’s, DVD movies, reading and writing material and a variety of snacks.

On May 13th and 14th, Mama Cindy attended the After 50 Expo in Depew, New York. It was a most wonderful two days that had informationals for
the Seniors in the Community and to help raise donations and monetary donations for the Soldiers connected to the Mama Cindy Soldier Fund.
They raised a truck load of supplies and over $1,400.00 in monetary donations to help cover the cost of shipping the care packages to the Troops Stationed Overseas.

The Daisy Girl Scout Troop 1111 did a fund drive for the Soldiers connected to the Mama Cindy Soldier Program. On May 28, 2008, Mama Cindy and
Staff Sergeant Jay Warren attended their meeting and shared stories about the Mama Cindy Soldier Fund. The Daisies helped to pre package the goodies
collected to ship to the Troops Overseas. Items collected that couldn't be shipped overseas, because the temperature being over 110 degrees,
were donated to the Hemlock and Livonia Food Pantry. I had so much fun working with the children. "Gifts From The Little Ones For Our Soldiers."

On June 20, 2008, Lakeville McDonald's had a "Summer Fund Drive For The Troops." Two military Representatives came out and volunteered to help
serve the public for the two hours to raise summer supplies for the Troops and monetary donations for shipping the care packages. They were
able to fill 32 care packages with a variety of items donated. One of their customers brought in a collection of reading books (344) that were
packaged and shipped to a Medical Unit in Iraq and to individual soldiers stationed in Iraq and Afghanistan. Their customers donated $74.50 and
the Owner of McDonald's, Justin McCarthy, donated $125.00 to help in the shipping cost of the care packages.

Lauren Coe, a Mary Kay Representative from Webster, New York, had a bowling fund raiser in June to raise funding to purchase Mary Kay personal care
items to send to our Troops stationed overseas. She was able to raise $5,260.00. with the help of family, friends and her church members, they put together
personal care bags. In each care bag was: Mary Kay chapstick, sunscreen and after sun lotion. They were wrapped in a special decorative bag with an
inspirational note with beads. So, far, 253 gift bags have been sent to the Troops stationed in Iraq and Afghanistan.

In July, the After 50 Readers donated $340.14 in monitary donations to help keep the "Care Packages"
going to our Soldiers Deployed Overseas. They were able to "Grant Three Wishes" for Three separate
Military Units Stationed Overseas. The USO gave me an Army Unit statioed in Iraq. There are 25 men living
in tents and had a "Wish List". The Staff Sergent said I don't have to feel I needed to get everything on the
Wish List, but it was what his men had asked for. Of Course, I was able get everything on the list. Because they
have a mouse problem, I put a jar of peanut butter in a zip lock bag with two mouse traps with a note saying:
This is a New York Mouse Trap Kit-We Don't Catch and Release! A total of 12 "Care Pakages" were filled and shipped
to this Unit. On top of the items sent, I placed a note saying: "Wish Granted!" The second "Wish Granted" was from
an Army Unit stationed in Afghanistan. These guys are in a remote unit and needed some fun items to keep the morale up
when they were able to have some down time. They asked me for some ping pong balls. I sent them Frisbees, ping pong game
sets, paddle ball sets, water guns, playing cards dice games, and ect. A total of three "Care Pakages" were filled and
shipped to this unit. In the top of the box I wrote "Wish Granted". The third "Wish Granted" was from the 626th C Company.
They are a Medical Unit for the 101st Airborne Division stationed in Iraq and given to me from the USO. They are a Medical Unit
that is like a floating hospital. They take care of the wounder Soldiers. They had a "Wish List" and I was able to send
a lot of items on their list. I sent: First Responder Backpacks and carry bags, tee-shirts, shorts, drinking straws, hair brushes,
air-fresheners, shower curtains with rings, personal care items, and munchies, ect. Of Course on the top of each Package was
written: "Wish Granted." Ten Packages were filled and shipped to the Medical Support Unit. Thank You to the After 50 News and
their Readers for Your Continued Support of the Troops and to let our Soldiers Know that WISHES DO COME TRUE!

A most wonderful man donated his Beanie Babie Collection of 294, to the WellSpring Ministries in Belfast, New York. He had heard
about the Mama Cindy Program that sends packes to the children in Iraq and Afghanistan. One half of the donation went the Children

Commercial Building. Mama Cindy displayed her Walls of Honor as well as personal letters, stories and pictures with the Community.
During the week of the Fair, I was able to adopt 6 new Soldiers and was able to ship their first packages that week. It was
exciting to share the stories and even get a HUG from one of my Soldiers that returned from his tour Overseas. With donations from
Lakeville McDonald's and the Community, I was able to hand out 735 Happy Meal Toys and stuffed animals, 55 Free Ice Cream Cards and

I am now working on my 11th Humanitarian Program with the Military. This Program is called "United Through Reading." A Wish was made by
Chaplin Howard Bankston for my help in this program of Uniting Families Through Reading. The supplies he Wished for was: Children's books,
DVD-R's and bubble mailing envelopes. The soldier makes a DVD of them reading the Children's Book and then both the book and the DVD
is sent home to the children of the Mom's and Dad's currently serving Overseas. This way the Mom's and Dad's can read to their children back
home. I made Rainbow Bracelets and included them in each of the packages.

Thank You AGAIN After 50 News Readers for your most wonderful monetary donation for August in the amount of $585.60. A portion of this donation

how much I put in it and how much it weights, the cost is one price. The Girls at the Livonia Post Office get excited when they tell me how much the package
would of cost if I didn’t use the flat rate boxes. One package that was going to Afghanistan would of cost $27.00 because of the weight, if it wasn’t for me
using the flat rate boxes. If you would like to make a monetary donation, you can make your checks out to: Mama Cindy Soldier Fund and send to: Mama Cindy,
5002 Old Bald Hill Road, Hemlock, New York 14466. Your donation will be used to ship a little bit of home and comfort to those so far from their Loved Ones.

The Livingston County Mentoring Program - H.O.P.E.
The Livingston County Mentoring Program -H.O.P.E (Helping One Person Excel) Youth Mentoring Service Project, put together a three week project from January 1-January 19. In this time frame, they collected donations of items to ship to the soldiers stationed over seas and also did many projects to raise money for the cost of shipping the packages. We gathered at the Fellowship Hall in Livonia on January 20,2006 to package the items. It was wonderful to see the faces of the adults and the children so excited to be involved in helping Mama Cindy and the Soldier Project. Dawn Woodburn helped to organize the packaging while Mama Cindy and Lyn Swift packaged the baked goods. Mama Cindy took her photo albums filled with pictures of the soldiers that receive these care packages so that the children could see the faces of those receiving the packages. They also had a table set up so that Valentines cards could be created by the children to send in each package. The organization was hoping to collect enough items to fill 20-30 packages. I am proud to say they were able to fill 72 care packages. Each package contained magazines, books, personal care items, DVD's, CD's, cookies, candy and a letter about the mentoring program as well as a hand made Valentine. Pictures were taken during the three hours of packaging and I sent pictures in the packages so that the soldiers receiving the packages could see the faces of those sending the packages. This organization also raised $486.00 to help cover the cost of shipping. All packages have been sent to our military men and women stationed over seas. A HUGE THANK YOU to all that worked so hard in a short period of time to send a bit of home to a soldier so far away. This was a wonderful example of Hand to Hand~~Heart to Heart. BIG HUGS TO ALL!
